Upon reading your comment , I went to research abit. To my understanding he is currently level 5 Wu Zong, his servant his level 6 Wu Zun. Usually each level have 3 stage, early, middle and late.

As you can see Qin Chen only attacks when his servants fails. This is because he is much stronger than his servant despite being one level lower due to his hidden trump cards. Usually u can see the OP disc and formations is why he can one upp all his enemies. Finally when all else fails he will use his thunder bloodline. You can actually start to see the pattern.

Usually donghuas like to potray OP Mcs cultivation level one level lower than the rest but has some kind of OP Trump card (eg. Past memories, OP item that can help mc understand and level up faster than the fodders). It is so repetitive but I can't help but still dig into it. Well, he does have all those things...and his past memories of getting to ...all the way to Emperor level of cultivation or something like that. Pretty similar to Sprit Sword Sovereign. Neither are reincarnated, its just that both of them did time travel back to their teenage years but with all the knowledge of their entire adult life.

Right now, in novel it almost looks like same Qin Chen was born twice (same father) and this is also in line with travelling to his teens. There are lots of things pointing to that fact, especially clues about his father. His father looked up into river of time to setup his path by leaving items where his son will be in future in order to get them (just a few... Qi method (1st life), soul sword (1st life and reincarnation trigger), rusty sword, cat emperor, things behind thunder sea and so on). But, real clue is that Qin Chen in both lives follows that set path, which he only became aware in this life when he learned clues about his father and higher things he had no clue about in previous life, but so far novel hasn't reached point with definite answer, just clues. Otherwise, it would be strange if his father left things to a stranger to posses his dead son.
